Even the name "BMX" is bullshit. That was coined in the days of WAAAAY back for Bicycle Motocross(like FMX for Freestyle MX?). These aren't racers or race bikes, and there's barely even a BMX scene anymore. This shit is 20" STREET riding, or 20" VERT riding, or 20" DIRTJUMPING. BMX is an overused generic term that irritates me. But I grew up in those days, I have the right to be irritated. |
